Abstract:
Provided is a method for cooling and circulating a regenerated catalyst. A regenerated catalyst from a regenerator is cooled to 200-720oC by catalyst coolers and directly enters a riser reactor without being mixed with a hot regenerated catalyst, or enters the riser reactor after being mixed with another un-cooled hot regenerated catalyst portion to obtain a mixed regenerated catalyst having a temperature lower than the regenerator temperature. The bottom of each catalyst cooler is at least provided with a fluidising medium distributer, the superficial gas velocity range being 0-0.7 m/s (preferably 0.005-0.3 m/s, optimally 0.01-0.15 m/s), the temperature of the cold regenerated catalyst mainly being controlled by adjusting the flow rate of a fluidising medium. The method for cooling and circulating a regenerated catalyst has a wide range of applications, and may be used for various fluid catalytic cracking processes and other gas-solid reaction processes.
