Abstract:
As a result of the present invention, the distribution of a plurality of types of sheet paper in a plurality of paper bundles can be easily adjusted. This collating device comprises: a plurality of paper supply shelves each of which can stack a plurality of sheets of paper; feed mechanisms associated to each paper supply shelf and which feed out, one at a time, sheets of paper stacked on the associated paper supply shelf; a common conveyance path that stacks and conveys each of the sheets of paper that have been fed out by the plurality of feed mechanisms; a setting means that makes settings for each of a plurality of consecutive paper bundles to be created, said settings being made for at least one shelf for which settings are to be made, among the plurality of paper supply shelves, and said settings regarding whether or not a sheet of paper fed from the shelf for which settings are to be made should be inserted; and a control means that controls the feed mechanism associated to the shelf for which settings are to be made, such that the sheet paper is fed out at the timing at which the paper bundle set to have the sheet paper inserted is set to be created, as set by the setting means.
