Abstract:
The present invention is a collation system 20 that comprises a client 30 and a server 40, and is such that a challenge/response method is introduced. The client 30 comprises: a random number generation unit 31 that generates a random number; an encrypted information storage unit 32 that stores encrypted information in which registration information and the generated random number are encrypted using a secret key; and a response calculation unit 33 that includes an encryption index in which is encrypted an index indicating the closeness of the registration information and collation information inputted in order to collate with the registration information, on the basis of a challenge transmitted from the server 40, the collation information, and the encrypted information, the response calculation unit 33 calculating a response that corresponds to the challenge. The server 40 comprises a challenge generation unit 41 that uses a public key corresponding to the secret key to generate a challenge, and an assessment unit 42 that uses the public key and the random number transmitted from the client 30 to assess whether the response transmitted from the client 30 corresponds to the challenge.
