Abstract:
Provided are a colored composition having excellent applicability and capable of forming films reduced in thickness unevenness, a film, an optical filter, a solid imaging element, an image display device, and a compound. The colored composition comprises a colorant and a curable compound, wherein the colorant comprises a compound represented by formula (I), the compound represented by formula (I) having a maximum-absorption wavelength in the wavelength range of 500-700 nm, excluding 700 nm. In formula (I), A1 represents a squarylium dye structure; Y1 represents a single bond or an (l+1)-valent linking group, and when two or more Y1 moieties are present, the Y1 moieties may be the same or different; Mp+ indicates a counter cation; l, m, n, and q are each independently an integer of 1 or larger; p is an integer of 2 or larger; and l×m×n=p×q.
