Abstract:
A coloring composition containing a colorant A, a resin B, and a multi-functional polymerizable monomer C having a molecular weight of 3000 or less, the coloring composition being such that: the resin B includes repeating units represented by formula (b-10), and includes a resin B1 in which the ethylenically-unsaturated-bond-containing base value is 350-700 g/mol; and the multi-functional polymerizable monomer C content in the entire solid fraction of the coloring composition is greater than 0 mass% and no more than 18 mass%. A film, an optical filter, a solid-state imaging element, and an image display device, in each of which the coloring composition is used. In formula (b-10), Ar10 represents an aromatic-carboxyl-group-containing group, L11 represents -COO- or -CONH-, L12 represents a trivalent linking group, and P10 represents a polymer chain.
