Abstract:
The present invention provides a communication device and a communication signal generation method for adaptively performing wired power line communication by which a desired communication characteristic which meets a user's need is obtained. This communication device is provided with: a selection unit which selects a mode for defining the number of one or more channels to be prepared in a predetermined frequency band used for communication with another communication device via a wired medium, and a channel to be used for the communication in the mode; and a signal processing unit which performs signal processing on input data according to the selected mode and channel to generate a communication frame to be used for the communication.
