Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a communication system, a communication method, and a program which make it possible to optimally perform switching of packet forwarding paths. A forwarding path control unit, when switching the forwarding of a media packet in response to server transition of an application server that is a stream destination, continues forwarding the media packet to the application server before transition until a media boundary marker indicating a media boundary is detected, and starts forwarding of the media packet to the application server after transition once the media boundary marker is detected. The present technology may be applied, for example, to a communication system that performs streaming via a network.
