Abstract:
Provided is a communication system in which a base station device and a mobile station device aggregate cells of a plurality of different frequency bands to perform communication. The base station device instructs execution of a random access procedure to the mobile station device using a physical downlink control channel. The mobile station device, depending on whether or not random access settings are included in parameters of a secondary cell assigned to the station, switches between a first random access procedure which does not use information of a carrier indicator field included in the physical downlink control channel for selection of a cell which performs the random access procedure, and a second random access procedure which uses information of the carrier indicator field included in the physical downlink control channel for selection of the cell which performs the random access procedure.
