Abstract:
The present invention reduces service interruption time for a client terminal. A communication system 100 is provided with: a plurality of servers 10 (10a, 10b) each serving as an active system server or a stand-by system server; and a relay device 20 that relays communication between the active system server and one or more client terminals 30 operated by clients. Each server has: a priority determination unit that determines the priority of each client; a virtual port creation unit that creates, in the server, a virtual port corresponding to a virtual LAN assigned to each client terminal; and a communication processing unit that instructs the relay device to change, to the virtual ports, the destinations of the communication performed between the server and the client terminals. When a problem occurs in another server serving as the active system server, the communication processing unit issues an instruction to change the communication destination in descending order of client priority.
