Abstract:
The present technology relates to a composite display device that has achieved both power supply size reduction and low cost, and a method for controlling the same, the composite display device comprising a plurality of display devices each having a power supply. The composite display device is provided with a plurality of display devices each having a power supply with a predetermined supply power, and a power supply connecting unit connecting the power supplies of the plurality of display devices in parallel. The composite display device is configured such that, when at least one display device of the plurality of display devices requires power exceeding a predetermined supply power of the power supply of the one display device, power can be supplied from the power supply of another display device. The present technology may be applied, for example, to a multi-display device.
