Abstract:
This reactor (1) is equipped with a coil (2), and a magnetic core (3) which is positioned on the inside and outside of the coil (2), and forms a closed magnetic circuit. At least part of the magnetic core (3) is made from a composite material containing a magnetic powder and an encapsulating resin having this powder dispersed therein. The magnetic powder contains a plurality of materials having different relative magnetic permeabilities, and typically contains both pure iron powder and iron alloy powder. By being equipped with a magnetic core (3) made from a composite material containing magnetic powders made from different substances, the reactor (1) achieves both high saturation flux density and low loss.
