Abstract:
This composite member (100) comprises: an inorganic matrix part (10) formed of an inorganic material including at least one among a metal oxide and a metal oxide hydroxide; and organic fiber (20) which is directly adhered to the inorganic matrix part without an adhesive material therebetween, and which is present in a state of being dispersed within the inorganic matrix part, the adhesive material being different from the inorganic material that forms the inorganic matrix part. Furthermore, the composite member has a porosity of at most 20% in the cross section of the inorganic matrix part.
