Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition for a hydrophilic coating that is easily formed on an underlayer coating film without reducing the function of the underlayer coating film. The present invention also provides a structure including such a hydrophilic coating. This composition for a hydrophilic coating can coat an underlayer coating film and includes colloidal silica and a thickening agent, wherein when a 10 μm-thick coating has been formed on a white substrate, the color difference ΔE* before and after coating the white substrate is 0.50 or less, the viscosity as measured according to JIS K5600-2-2 and using a Stormer viscometer is in the range 40-120 KU, and the haze of a coating formed on a glass substrate is 50% or less. This structure includes a base, an underlayer coating film, and a coating using the composition for a hydrophilic coating, wherein the underlayer coating film is a thermally insulating coating film.
