Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel composition having the effect of improving a mental state. [Solution] The present invention pertains to: a composition that is for improving a mental state, and that contains, as an active ingredient, a water-soluble component of the fruit of eggplant (Solanum melongena); and a production method that is for an eggplant-derived composition for improving a mental state, and that comprises squeezing an eggplant fruit to obtain a juice, or adding water to an eggplant fruit and squeezing the fruit to which water has been added, to obtain a juice.
