Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating, or treating cancer, comprising a perilla-leaf-derived nanovesicle as an active ingredient. A perilla-leaf-derived nanovesicle of the present invention is a natural compound derived from leaves of Perilla frutescens, a plant of the genus Perilla, is advantageous in that the nanovesicle has better biocompatibility and stability and higher cell permeability than those of animal-derived substances, and is non-toxic to normal human cells to inhibit cancer cell proliferation by selectively attacking only specific cancer cells of breast cancer or cervical cancer while minimizing side effects, and thus is effectively usable in the treatment, alleviation, or prevention of cancer.
