Abstract:
A composition of the present invention is extremely effective at suppressing brain tumors by inducing, in a high sugar-intake condition, a compositional change in gut microbiota, and in particular, a compositional change in strains of the family Desulfovibrionaceae, and thus can effectively prevent, alleviate, or treat brain tumors. Further, such a compositional change in gut microbiota in a high sugar-intake condition induces a synergistic effect with an anticancer agent, and in particular, a checkpoint inhibitor, and can ultimately contribute to increasing survival rate in brain tumor patients.
