COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING INFECTIOUS DISEASES CAUSED BY MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS, NONTUBERCULOUS MYCOBACTERIA OR GRAM-POSITIVE BACTERIA, CONTAINING MMAGNU2 COMPOUND AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/060933
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating infectious diseases caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) or gram-positive bacteria, containing MMAGNU2 compound as an active ingredient. Specifically, it has been ascertained that Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv, and a non-proliferative M. tuberculosis SS18b strain are effectively inhibited in vitro and nontuberculous mycobacteria, Mycobacterium abscessus is effectively inhibited in vitro and in zebrafish in vivo, and thus the present invention can be used in a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food that is useful in the prevention, alleviation and treatment of infectious diseases caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria. In addition, Staphylococcus aureus, Micrococcus luteus and Enterococcus faecalis, which are gram-positive bacteria, are effectively inhibited in ex vivo experiments, and thus the present invention can be used as effective treatment for gram-positive bacterial infection.
