Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition comprising at least one material selected from the group consisting of pioglitazone, metformin, and 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide (AICAR) for promoting the production of stem cell-derived exosomes and a method for the production of mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes by using the same. When used in culturing cells, the composition for promoting the production of stem cell-derived exosomes according to the present invention increases the output of stem cell-derived exosomes and the contents of proteins and RNA in the exosomes, thereby allowing the mass production of exosomes of quality more effectively than conventionally known methods. Therefore, the composition can be effectively applied for relevant research and development and commercialization.
