Abstract:
This concrete admixture comprises at least a biomass combustion ash that contains a biomass burned in a boiler using a fluid medium, said biomass combustion ash containing silicon dioxide. The silicon dioxide contains at least soluble silica. Further, the biomass combustion ash is produced in a thermal power generation facility where the biomass is burned in a boiler using a fluid medium. The boiler using a fluid medium is provided with a fluidized layer having silica sand as the fluid medium, and the biomass is burned therein at a temperature lower than 1100°C. The silicon dioxide is derived from the silica sand used as the fluid medium that is burned together with the biomass in the boiler using a fluid medium. Thus, it is possible to provide a concrete admixture that has a small environmental load and exhibits excellent initial strength in a mixed concrete.
