Abstract:
Provided is a conductive member for use in an electrophotographic image forming device and such that changes in resistance value are small even when a large amount of current flows at a high voltage over a long period of time. The conductive member comprises a support having a conductive external surface and a conductive layer provided on the external surface of the support. The conductive layer comprises a matrix containing a crosslinking product from a first rubber and a plurality of domains dispersed within the matrix. Each of the domains comprises a crosslinking product from a second rubber that is different from the first rubber and an electronically conductive agent. The second rubber crosslinking product contains the structure unit represented by structure formula (I) within a molecule. [-(CH2)n-O-] Structure formula (I)
In structure formula (I), n represents an integer of 1 to 3.
