Abstract:
The present invention relates to a connecting structure and a connection method for connecting pipes to a wide variety of valves or pumps. The invention provides a flexible-socket-joint-structure to achieve sealing between pipes and valves or pumps by means'of a sealing element. The structure comprises a bodyinterface of the valve or pump, clip flange pieces, a gasket, a sealing ring, clip bolts , and flange bolts. Said clip flange pieces are clamped on one end of a pipe by said clip bolts, thereafter the gasket and the sealing ring are placed sequentially on said end of the pipe, and then said end of the pipe is inserted into a cavity of said body-interface of said valve or pump. Said sealing ring is embedded in the tapered rabbet of the body-interface of said valve or pump, a flange of said bodyinterface and said clip flange pieces are provided with bolt holes into which said flange bolts are inserted. The connecting structure and the connection method may result in easy and convenient operation, no need for site welding and operating tools, time and work saving, high efficiency, short installation time, low cost5 high fabrication quality, and no leakage connection , such that the safe operation of the whole piping system is ensured.
