Abstract:
The invention relates to a connection beam for a vessel, wherein the connection beam (13) comprises a first portion (14) and a second portion (15), wherein each portion comprises a hollow central core (17) comprising a first wall (20) and a second wall (21) which define at the junction between the two portions (14, 15) a first assembly aperture and a second assembly aperture, wherein the connection beam (13) comprises a linking assembly (38) which has a shape which complements the assembly apertures and is attached at the assembly apertures to the first portion (14) and the second portion (15), the linking assembly (38) comprising a first wing (39) and a second wing (40), and wherein the second wing (40) is lap-welded to the second wall (21) of the first portion (14) and the second portion (15), and the first wing (39) comprises a main plate, a first portion that is lap-welded to the first wall (20) of the first portion (14) and a second portion that is lap-welded to the first wall (20) of the second portion (15), the first portion being spaced apart in the first direction from the second portion by an opening, the first portion and the second portion of the first wing (39) being welded to the first portion (14) and to the second portion (15), respectively, using a main bead which extends in the first direction.
