Abstract:
The present disclosure addresses the problem of reducing the size of a contact and a connector while ensuring the elasticity of the contact. A connector is fitted to a counterpart-side connector in a first direction. The connector is provided with a fixed housing, a movable housing, and a contact (8). The movable housing can move relative to the fixed housing. The contact (8) has electroconductivity. The contact (8) includes a first held section (81), a second held section (82), and an elastic section (83). The first held section (81) is held by the fixed housing. The second held section (82) is held by the movable housing. The elastic section (83) has elasticity, and links the first held section (81) and the second held section (82). The elastic section (83) includes an extension section. The extension section extends from at least one of the first held section (81) and the second held section (82), and extends in a second direction (D2) that intersects the first direction (D1).
