Abstract:
Household electrical devices like plugs (2), sockets (25), switches and junction boxes often require the use of multiple tools to connect wires to terminals within the device. This significantly increase the amount of time spent connecting all the electrical sockets in a household circuit. The present invention enables a wire (3a) inserted within an aperture (13a) to be pushed onto an electrically conducting projection (17a), piercing the wire (3a) to make an electrical connection. This removes the requirement for the wire to be stripped of insulation prior to use, and avoids the use of tools for connecting and securing the wire.
