Abstract:
The present invention relates to an optical connector plug and a method for manufacturing same, whereby, by using an optical fiber alignment guide member provided on one surface of an optical element module and an optical component alignment guide groove, an optical fiber and an optical component can be assembled in alignment with an optical element, and thus passive alignment of the optical element and the optical component can also be easily implemented. The connector plug of the present invention comprises: an optical element module comprising a light engine for generating an optical signal or receiving an optical signal; an optical fiber alignment guide member provided on one surface of the optical element module and comprising an optical fiber insertion channel in which an optical fiber is securely seated; and an optical component which is securely seated in an optical component alignment guide groove provided adjacent to the optical fiber alignment guide member on the surface of the optical element module, wherein the light engine comprises: an optical element provided adjacent to the optical component on one surface of the optical element module and radiating an optical signal in a horizontal direction or receiving an optical signal; and an optical integrated circuit (IC) provided inside the light element module to control the optical element.
