Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a connector in which a commonly used female connector can be utilized as-is and which has improved fitting characteristics. [Solution] A connector is provided with a female connector and a male connector which has an inner engagement section and has an outer engagement member or an outer engagement section. The outer engagement member or the outer engagement section has an outer engagement member body or an outer engagement section body which covers a female-side engagement section when the male connector is inserted into the female connector. Inside the outer engagement member or the outer engagement section, there is a holder provided integrally with, or as a separate component from, the outer engagement member body or the outer engagement section body and covering from the outside a thread on the female-side engagement section when the male connector is inserted into the female connector, filling the gap between the female-side engagement section and the outer engagement member body or the outer engagement section body. The holder is disposed closer to an end of the male connector than the inner engagement section in the longitudinal direction of the male connector, and the holder is disposed so as to grip the female-side engagement section in cooperation with the inner engagement section when the male connector is inserted into the female connector.
