Abstract:
An idler (3b) of a crawler (3) is supported by a yoke (28) so as to be capable of movement in the forward-backward direction. A cylinder member (36) of an adjuster cylinder (30) is coupled to the yoke (28) by a compression spring (41). The biasing force of the compression spring (41) acts upon the idler (3b) to adjust the tension of a track (3e) according to the expansion and contraction of the adjuster cylinder (30). A front case member (44) anchored to the yoke (28) and a rear case member (45) anchored to the cylinder member (36) of the adjuster cylinder (30) form a cylinder case (43) that is capable of expanding and contracting while maintaining an oil-tight state between the interior and the exterior thereof. The compression spring (41) is housed and grease (50) is sealed within the cylinder case. An air hole (48) is bored in the upper part of the cylinder case (43) and closed off via a water-repellent fiber sheet (49).
