Abstract:
Provided is a construction machine capable of reliably detecting the positions of a pair of crawler units in the width direction without requiring complicated wiring. The construction machine comprises a lower traveling body and an upper rotating body. The lower traveling body has a car body, a pair of crawler units, an expansion/contraction device that changes a unit interval that is an interval between the pair of crawler units, and a detection unit. The expansion/contraction device can fix the pair of crawler units to each of a plurality of unit positions. The plurality of unit positions include a fully contracted position at which the unit interval becomes minimum, and a plurality of expanding positions at which the unit intervals differ from each other. The detection unit detects a unit position by including a part to be sensed and a plurality of sensors respectively corresponding to the plurality of unit positions. One of the part to be sensed and the plurality of sensors is fixed to the car body and the other thereof is supported by one of the pair of crawler units to move in the width direction together with the one of crawler units.
