Abstract:
In a hydraulic circuit of an automatic transmission provided with an electric motor-driven hydraulic pump which assists a main hydraulic pump driven by an engine, in order to realize an idling stop system, an adverse effect on the electric motor, which is caused by back pressure, is eliminated without using a relief valve. Disclosed is a control device for an automatic transmission, comprised of a main pump (3), an auxiliary pump (4), and an adjustment valve (5) which adjusts the line pressure of an oil passage for an automatic transmission to a predetermined value. The control device is further comprised of an adjustment valve control portion (61) which provides the adjustment valve (5) with a command to adjust the line pressure; a line pressure obtaining portion (62) which obtains the line pressure of the oil passage; an auxiliary pump activation portion (63) which controls the activation of the auxiliary pump. The auxiliary pump activation portion (63) requests that the adjustment valve control portion (61) outputs a command to reduce the line pressure if the line pressure of the auxiliary pump is higher than the assured pressure tightness of the auxiliary pump (4) when the auxiliary pump (4) is activated. Further, the auxiliary pump activation portion (63) activates the auxiliary pump (4) when the line pressure is not higher than the assured pressure tightness.
