Abstract:
A control device calculates the amounts of changes (estimated values ΔNC) in output rotational speeds of an automatic transmission are calculated (S10), calculates the average value (initial average G at inertia (I) phase) of amounts of variations in output rotational speeds in a predetermined period at an early stage of the I phase of gear shift is calculated, calculates the average value (average G after gear shift) of vehicle accelerations after completion of gear shift is calculated assuming that the amount of a change in output rotational speed indicates a vehicle acceleration G, calculates the difference (I phase initial G) between the average value of amounts of changes in output rotational speeds and the average value of vehicle accelerations, corrects the target value of the transmission torque of a frictional engagement element by increasing or decreasing the target value such that the calculated difference falls within a predetermined range, and controls the oil pressure supplied to the frictional engagement element so that the corrected target value is achieved (S14 to S20). As the control device is configured in this way, the control device estimates and evaluates vehicle accelerations during gear shift, and on this basis, learns matters such as variations in the transmission torque of the frictional engagement element, and as a result, can sufficiently bring out the latent potential of the frictional engagement element, and improve the gear shift feeling sensed by an occupant during gear shift.
