Abstract:
A control device (19) controls an electric drive system (10) including a drive motor (12) which is mounted in an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (100) having a rotor blade (30) and which rotationally drives the rotor blade. The control device controls the electric drive system to selectively operate in one of at least two types of operating modes including a normal mode and a function testing mode. In the normal mode, the control device controls the drive motor in accordance with a command from an airframe control device (50) which controls flight of the electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. In the function testing mode, the control device controls the drive motor in accordance with a command transmitted from the exterior in accordance with a function testing program, or in accordance with a function testing program pre-configured in the control device itself.
