A control method for use in a laundry treating device and a laundry treating device, which solve the problem in which existing laundry treating devices are not able to accurately determine whether a heating module needs to be turned off. The laundry treating device comprises a condensation module and a heating module, and the control method comprises the following steps: detecting the cooling water temperature of the condensation module in a circumstance in which the heating module is turned on; correcting the turn-off temperature of the heating module according to the cooling water temperature; and selectively turning off the heating module according to the corrected turn-off temperature. The laundry treatment device comprises the condensation module, the heating module, a temperature sensor, a temperature correction module, and a control module, and the control module selectively turns off the heating module on the basis of the corrected turn-off temperature. The control method and the treatment device correct the turn-off temperature of a heating module according to a specific working condition, are capable of accurately controlling the turning off of the heating module, and improve the drying effect of the laundry treatment device.
