Abstract:
The present invention relates to a control method for a washing machine, which comprises, inside a tub holding water, a drum that is rotatably provided and has, on the front surface thereof, an opening through which laundry is introduced, the control method comprising the steps of: (a) supplying water to the inside of the tub so that at least a portion of the drum is submerged; (b) operating a heater so as to heat the water held in the tub, and rotating the drum at a first set speed at least once; (c) draining the water from the tub; (d) supplying water to the inside of the tub so that at least a portion of the drum is submerged; and (e) operating the heater to heat the water held in the tub, and rotating the drum at least once, wherein step (e) comprises the steps of: rotating, at least once, the drum at a second set speed that is lower than the first set speed; and repeating first tub cleaning during which the drum is rotated, at least once, at a third set speed that is lower than the second set speed, and second tub cleaning during which the drum is rotated, at least once, at a fourth set speed that is lower than the third set speed.
