Abstract:
This control system for a passenger conveyor is provided with: a first sensor that detects a passenger stepping on a footstep of the passenger conveyor; a second sensor that detects a hand of the passenger gripping a handrail; and a control device which detects that the passenger is not gripping the handrail on the basis of the detection result of the first sensor and the detection result of the second sensor, wherein the control device detects that the passenger is not gripping the handrail when the second sensor does not detect a hand within a fixed time period before and after a time point when the first sensor has started detecting the passenger.
