Abstract:
This DC/DC converter (100) has a GaN switching element as a drive switching element. The DC/DC converter (100) is configured such that current flows to the GaN switching element via a first electroconductive path (1) during a voltage conversion operation. The first electroconductive path (1) is provided with a breaker switching element (41). When an overcurrent detection unit (43) detects overcurrent in the first electroconductive path (1), a drive unit (44) turns the breaker switching element (41) off. The breaker switching element (41) has a greater short-circuit capacity than the GaN switching element.
