Abstract:
A conveyance device with a simple mechanism, in which an object to be conveyed can
be lifted and lowered at the start or the end of conveyance. The conveyance device
has deformed rollers (1a, 1b) arranged at intervals in the direction of conveyance
of the object (7) to be conveyed and having the axes held in parallel with each other,
and also has a roller drive mechanism for conveying the object (7), placed on the
deformed rollers (1a, 1b), by rotating each deformed roller (1a, 1b) about its
axis. The deformed rollers (1a, 1b) each have at its outer periphery a partially
small diameter section (3) having a small outer diameter. The roller drive mechanism
causes the small diameter sections (3) of the deformed rollers (1a, 1b) to face
upward at the start or the end of conveyance of the object (7). Further, during
conveyance of the object (7), in order that the small diameter sections (3) of
the deformed rollers (1a, 1b) are not in contact with the object (7) and outer peripheries
(6) other than the small diameter sections (3) are in contact with the object (7),
the roller drive mechanism causes an adjacent set of deformed rollers (1a, 1b)
to rotate with the circumferential phases of their small diameter sections (3)
displaced from each other.
