Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to reduce the size of a configuration for compressing chips in order to prevent rolling of the chips in a raising step, and also makes it possible to adjust the amount of chips accepted by the configuration. A chip-conveying device (100) comprising: a hinge belt (21) positioned so as to form a receiving part (211) that receives chips, an inclined part (212) that is inclined relative to the receiving part (211) and that raises the chips received by the receiving part (211), and a discharge part (213) that discharges the raised chips; and a compression mechanism (3) having a compression surface (311b) that faces the hinge belt (21) at a boundary region (214) between the receiving part (211) and the inclined part (212), and an introduction end part (311c) that introduces the chips to the compression surface (311b), the compression mechanism (3) being such that the distance between the introduction end part (311c) and the hinge belt (21) can be changed, thereby compressing the chips between the compression surface (311b) and the hinge belt (21).
