Abstract:
A cooling apparatus for a multi-laser device is provided. The present invention comprises: first and second laser units which generate first and second laser beams having first and second wavelength bands, by being provided with first and second flash lamps for emitting excitation light when power is supplied thereto, first and second rods for amplifying the excitation light inputted from the first and second flash lamps, and first and second cooling chambers for internally accommodating the first and second flash lamps and the first and second rods; a cooling unit which circulates and supplies a coolant, pumped and supplied by a pump member, consecutively to the first cooling chamber and the second cooling chamber, by being provided with the pump member provided to a coolant supply line connecting the first cooling chamber and a water tank, a coolant connection line connecting the first cooling chamber and the second cooling chamber, and a heat exchanger, for cooling the heated coolant, provided on a coolant discharge line connecting the second cooling chamber and the water tank; and a control unit which has a first temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the coolant supplied to the first cooling chamber of the first laser unit, and a second temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the coolant supplied to the second cooling chamber of the second laser unit after being heated through heat exchange in the first cooling chamber, and thus controls the flow and temperature of the coolant supplied to the first and second cooling chambers, by means of an operation of comparing measurement values of the first and second temperature sensors, with a preset optimal temperature for an oscillation atmosphere, of the first and second laser units.
