Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent the occurrence of cavitation in a refrigerant pump due to a decrease in the net positive suction head in a cooling device. This cooling device uses a refrigeration cycle in which a refrigerant is circulated between a heat receiver (1), a compressor (2), a radiator (3), and an expander (4). The cooling device is characterized by comprising: a tank (5) in which a refrigerant supplied from the expander (4) is separated into a gas phase and a liquid phase; a pump (6) that feeds the liquid-phase refrigerant separated by the tank (5) to the heat receiver (1); and a control unit (7) that controls the amount by which the pressure is raised in the compressor (2) of the refrigeration cycle. The cooling device is also characterized in that the control unit (7) starts the pump (6) on the condition that the value of the net positive suction head of the pump (6) exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
