Abstract:
A cooling tower for reducing white smoke, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a fan part provided in a cooling tower housing so as to discharge, to the outside, air inside the cooling tower housing; a cooling water supply part provided at one side of the cooling tower housing so as to supply cooling water; and a heat exchange part which has a filler stack having a plurality of plate-type filling members arranged in an erect state so as to form a channel enabling vertical and horizontal fluid movements, and which makes the cooling water supplied from the cooling water supply part and external air flowing into the cooling tower housing cross each other in the filler stack so as to cool the cooling water, wherein the heat exchange part includes a wet channel to which the cooling water is supplied by the cooling water supply part all the time, and a wet/dry switching channel capable of switching states so as to allow or stop the supply of the cooling water by the cooling water supply part, and the cooling water supply part comprises: a switching channel cooling water supply part, which includes a switching channel supply path formed at the upper part of the filler stack in the arrangement direction of a plurality of fillers so as to have a predetermined length, and a switching channel supplying branch path extending from the switching channel supply path toward the upper part of each wet/dry switching channel, thereby supplying, to each wet/dry switching channel, the cooling water supplied from the outside; and a wet channel cooling water supply part for supplying the cooling water to the wet channel.
