[Problem] To provide: a copolymer that efficiently absorbs ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 360-420 nm; a copolymer that has high affinity with an organic solvent and thus, exhibits high solubility and dispersibility when combined with an organic solvent, which results in high stability, said copolymer also exhibiting excellent strength at high temperatures and resistance to light; and a composition of said copolymer. [Solution] A copolymer of monomer components according to the present invention includes the following monomer (A) and monomer (B). Monomer (A): a benzotriazole compound having a monovalent sulfur-containing group represented by formula (i-1), (in formula (i-1) R10 and R11 represent a hydrocarbon group, and R12 represents a monovalent group represented by formula (i-2), (where, R12a, R12b, and R12c represent a hydrogen atom or similar, A represents an ester group or similar, and X represents a hydrocarbon group)). Monomer (B): an ester group-containing vinyl monomer.
