Abstract:
A counterweight device for an elevator is configured in such a manner that a counterweight frame has a frame body including: a pair of suspension frames (23); an upper frame (24) connected between the suspension frames; and a lower frame (25) connected to the suspension frames at a position below the upper frame. A pair of upper guide shoes (26) is mounted to the upper end of the counterweight frame. A pair of lower guide shoes (27) is mounted to the lower end of the counterweight frame. Intermediate guide shoes (28) in contact with corresponding counterweight guide rails are mounted to both sides, in the width direction, of the vertically intermediate section of the counterweight frame.
