Abstract:
Provided are: a cover glass for solar cells, which is capable of ensuring a sufficient power generation efficiency of a solar cell module even in cases where the entirety of the cover glass has a design so that a solar cell is not visible from the outside; and a solar cell module. The present invention provides a cover glass 14 which is bonded to a light receiving surface 16A, 16B of a solar cell 16 with a sealing material 18 being interposed therebetween, and which is configured such that: the visible light transmittance thereof is 0% to 60%; and the average infrared transmittance thereof is 20% to 100% if a simple average of transmittances at every 5 nm in the infrared light region from the wavelength of 780 nm to the wavelength of 1,500 nm is considered as the average infrared transmittance.
