Abstract:
The present application particularly discloses a cross arm resistant against wind deflection, and a power transmission tower. The cross arm resistant against wind deflection comprises: a post insulator having one end connected to a tower body of a tower; and a cable stay insulator having one end connected to a cross arm of the tower and another end connected to another end of the post insulator away from the tower, such that a stable support frame structure having an included angle is formed between the cable stay insulator and the post insulator, wherein the post insulator and the cable stay insulator are located between a wire and the tower to prevent the wire from nearing the tower. The stable support frame structure having an included angle formed between the cable stay insulator and the post insulator effectively prevents wind deflection flashover accidents caused by a wind-deflected wire nearing a tower, and ensures a safe electrical gap between a wire and a tower in highly windy operation conditions. The post insulator and the cable stay insulator are not directly connected to the wire, and are instead disposed between the tower and the wire, such that the cross arm resistant against wind deflection on a tower can be directly installed and modified while a power grid is energized, thereby eliminating the need to turn off the power for those operations.
