Abstract:
Disclosed are: a communication technique for merging, with IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G system; and a system therefor. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail, security, and safety-related services, and the like) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. In addition, the present disclosure provides a method and a device for reducing terminal power consumption in a wireless communication system. A method of a terminal in a communication system, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) including a minimum offset indication field that indicates a first minimum offset; confirming an application delay time for applying the first minimum offset; and transmitting/receiving data to/from the base station on the basis of the first minimum offset after the application delay time from the time when the DCI had been received, wherein, during the application delay time from the time when the DCI had been received, DCI including a minimum offset indication field that indicates a minimum offset different from the first minimum offset cannot be received from the base station.
