Abstract:
A problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a method for producing a crosslinked polyarylene sulfide (PAS) in which variations in melt viscosity between lots are suppressed and the quality stability is excellent. More particularly, the present invention is a method for producing a crosslinked PAS characterized by comprising a step for obtaining a compression-molded product by compression molding a powdery uncrosslinked PAS; a step for measuring the porosity of the compression-molded product; a step for obtaining a pulverized material by pulverizing the portion of the compression-molded product that falls within a prescribed porosity range; a step for obtaining a granulated material by granulating the pulverized material; and a step for executing oxidative crosslinking on the granulated material yielded by the previous step. Also provided are a method for producing a composition including the crosslinked PAS and a method for producing a molded article by melt-molding the composition.
