Abstract:

A crosslinking agent comprising a polyallyl ether compound having one or more hydroxyl groups derived from glycidyl groups and further having two or more allyl groups. It is usable for producing a highly water-absorbing polymer from either a polymerizable compound having a carbon-carbon double bond or a salt thereof. It is soluble in an aqueous solution of the monomer. The highly water-absorbing polymer has water-absorbing ability on a practically required level.
