Abstract:
Provided is a composition for obtaining a cured article with high mechanical strength (elastic modulus etc.) at room and high temperatures. More specifically, provided is curable composition containing an additive resin and a copolymer of an olefin-aromatic vinyl compound-aromatic polyene satisfying conditions (1) to (4). The additive resin is at least one selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon elastomer, polyphenylene ether and copolymerized oligomer of olefin-aromatic vinyl compound-aromatic polyene. (1) The number average molecular mass of the copolymer is 5,000 to 100,000. (2) The aromatic vinyl compound monomer is an aromatic vinyl compound with a carbon number from 8 to 20, and the content of aromatic vinyl compound monomer is 0 to 70 mass%. (3) The aromatic polyene is selected from polyenes having a plurality of vinyl groups and/or vinylene groups in a molecule, and having a carbon number from 5 to 20, the content of vinyl groups and/or vinylene groups derived from the aromatic polyene being from 1,5 groups and 20 groups per number average molecular mass. (4) The olefin is selected from olefins with a carbon number from 2 to 20 and the total content of olefin monomer units, aromatic vinyl compound monomer units and aromatic polyene monomer units is 100 mass%.
