Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a curable composition which has a high temporal stability and excellent patternability and from which a light shielding film having a high light shielding ability can be obtained. The present invention also addresses the problem of providing a cured film, a light shielding film, a solid state imaging element and a solid state imaging device. A curable composition comprising inorganic particles, a polymerizable compound and a polymerization initiator, wherein: the inorganic particles comprise metal carbide-containing particles containing carbide of a group 5 element of the periodic table; and the content of the metal carbide-containing particles is 55 mass% or greater relative to the total mass of the inorganic particles.
