Title:
CYANINE COMPOUND AND FLUORESCENT DYE USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/012963
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Fluorescent dyes for use in live-cell DNA imaging are required to have sufficient cell-penetrating properties, excellent DNA/RNA selectivity, and an absorption band corresponding to a long wavelength laser which is less likely to cause phototoxicity. However, no molecular group which resolves these three challenges has been developed. The challenges can be resolved by cyanine compounds represented by general formula (1), the compounds being a group of molecules that are effective for live-cell DNA imaging. In general formula (1), R1 and R2 are the same or different and represent a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are the same or different and represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, and R7, R8, R9 and R10 are the same or different and represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, X1d represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, Y represents a monovalent anion, n is 0 or 1, and when X1 is a halogen atom, n is 0.
